Written records dating back several thousand years to the ancient Greek and Chinese civilisations refer to spinal manipulation. The word ‘Chiropractic’ comes from the Greek words cheir meaning ‘hand’ and praktos meaning ‘done’ i.e. Done by Hand so named by the developer of chiropractic, D.D. Palmer.

This fixation has many different effects, but the principle effect is its negative effect on the nervous system. The restricted joint can lead to nerve dysfunction, thus effecting all the actions of the nerve which is irritated or compressed.

Altogether the education takes 6 years which includes 5 years academic education with an international accredited chiropractic school with 1 year after graduation working alongside a chiropractor if outside Sweden or if you complete the 1 year in Sweden you must complete it in a hospital setting.

Equal emphasis is placed on the theoretical underpinning of these skills, drawing on knowledge and understanding form anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, biomechanics, diagnosis, radiology and other informing disciplines.
